Home Education taster session at Cabbage Rose. 15th April 2026

Home Education Art & Craft Group

We’re starting a creative art and craft group for home educated children aged 5–16 and would love new families to join us. We are offering taster sessions on Wednesday 15th April.

9.30-11.30 for 5-9 year olds and

1-3pm for 10-16 year olds.

This is a relaxed, friendly space where young people can explore creativity, experiment with materials, and make new friends while learning new artistic skills.

Why not come along and join Deb and Jo for some creative fun. Deb is a qualified primary school teacher and private SEN Teacher, Jo is a qualified secondary Art and Design teacher. Both Deb and Jo also run their own creative workshops for adults and mixed aged children in a number of locations. We both have enhanced DBS certificates.

Sessions will include a wide variety of activities such as:

🎨 painting and printmaking

🧶 textiles and fibre crafts

🗿 clay and sculpture

🌿 nature-based art

✂️ mixed media and creative projects

Activities will be adaptable for different ages and abilities, having 2 groups for ages 5-9 and 10-16 years, allowing younger children to explore freely while older children can develop more advanced techniques and personal projects.

Our aim is to create a supportive, inspiring environment where children can:

✨ build confidence in their ideas

✨ collaborate with others

✨ enjoy the process of making

No previous art experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get creative!
